The home must be a year-round primary residence at least 12 months old and be either a single-family, duplex, triplex, row home, townhouse or mobile home on a permanent foundation. New construction, additions and garage upgrades are not eligible.

FortisBC Natural gas furnace rebates - Ends Dec 31/2023
Replacing your home's old natural gas furnace with an eligible ENERGY STAR® model could qualify you for a rebate of $800 or up to $1,000 with FortisBC (Rebates End Dec 31/2023).

The annual fuel utilization efficiency rating of the newly installed furnace will determine the rebate amount. The models with 95% to 96.9% AFUE furnace will receive a rebate of $800 whereas a 97% to 99% AFUE furnace will receive a rebate of $1000.

EV Charger Rebate
Fully Electric Vehicle or Hybrid Electric Vehicle - there are rebates from FortisBC to install your own Level 2 EV Charger at home.

The home must have a residential FortisBC natural gas account.

The home where the charging station is to be installed must be at least six months old.

Eligible types of homes include single-family detached homes; mobile homes on a permanent foundation; or side-by-side duplexes, row homes or townhouses with individual electricity meters and garages or dedicated parking for the residents of each unit.
Due to the popularity of the program, the single-family home rebate offer is now fully subscribed in BC Hydro electric service territory. EV Charger rebates for single family homes continue to be available to FortisBC utility customers, while funding lasts.

FortisBC Heat pump rebate
Get up to $2,000 in rebates when you replace your existing hard-wired electric heating system such as electric baseboards, radiant ceiling, radiant floors or a forced-air furnace. (Note: The back-up space heating system must also be electric).
